Howdy Mavericks! My name is Janell McMullan everyone calls me Mrs. Mac! ( I'm the old one on the left) Biography: I grew up in San Antonio, Texas and graduated from Judson High School in 1998! I attended Southwest Texas State University, (aka Texas State) and graduated with a degree in General Agriculture with a Certification to Teach. I worked all through college at a local veterinary clinic where I developed my love and passion for veterinary medicine. I was very active in the FFA and raised market and breeding swine, breeding rabbits, and Market Steers. I participated on numerous LDE and CDE teams and thoroughly enjoyed my 4 years in FFA, so much so that I felt I was duty bound to give back to the organization that gave me so much. Therefore, I decided to dedicate my life to teaching agriculture science. I have taught in North Texas, Central Texas and South Texas, but none seemed like home. Since joining the AMP staff in 2012, I have found my home, I was once a Rocket but now will forever be a MAV! I have a passion for what I teach and enjoy everyday that I get to watch young minds being shaped, passions unfolded and dreams come true. Although I really love my job, my first and most important job is being a wife to my husband Jason (middle school sweet heart) and mother of two girls Kendall (4 years) and Hannah (9 years). Hannah is just now starting to develop her passion for veterinary science and agriculture. She shows rabbits and is very active in her local 4H club. Kendall loves to dance and sing.I am hoping with the start of a new school year to enroll her in dance classes. (She might be able to teach me a few moves ). It is my hope that I inspire the love of agriculture and veterinary science in my students as my most important mentors did a long time ago. (Mr. Pat Real, Mr. John Lanier, Mr. Danny Kempen and Dr. Melissa Hill). I am designated as one of the advisors of our FFA officers. I care for and manage the Rabbit barn. I also manage the Guide Dog for the Blind Program for Madison. I train the Ag Issues LDE Team and the Veterinary Science and Marketing CDE team. I also help my two other teaching partners with science fair. My door is never closed, It is always open. My love for my students never ceases, as their minds that grow never cease to amaze me! I can always be reached via email! Please DO NOT hesitate to contact me in regards to your students needs. Tutoring times: Let me know and I will be there! ( I practically live here) Students are required to sign up for my Google Classroom accounts. This is VERY important! Students on our google classroom can find class syllabi, rules, worksheets, assignments, review sheets etc. as assigned. I will abide by the Retest/Reteach policy set forth by the district.
